About Heartland Hockey Camp

A Hockey Camp Unlike Any Other.

A private 164-acre northwoods campus where world-class hockey development, summer camp traditions, personal growth and lifelong friendships come together.

Welcome to Heartland

More Than a Hockey Camp.

Heartland was built to give players something difficult to find anywhere else: a place where hockey development and the traditional summer camp experience exist together.

Located on a private 164-acre campus in Minnesota's Brainerd Lakes Area, Heartland provides an environment where campers can step away from everyday distractions and become fully immersed in hockey, recreation, friendships and personal growth.

The arenas, dorms, dining hall, training spaces and recreation areas are all part of one self-contained camp environment, allowing players to spend their week surrounded by teammates, coaches and staff.

A Campus Built for Camp

Everything in One Place.

Heartland's self-contained setting is one of the things that makes the experience so unique. Campers move between the rink, dorms, dining hall, athletic spaces and recreation areas without leaving the camp environment.

That proximity creates more time for development, more opportunities for connection and an atmosphere that feels like a true hockey community.

Why Heartland?

Develop the Player.
Grow the Person.

The Heartland experience has always been about more than improving a slapshot or becoming a better skater.

01

Personal Growth

Camp gives players a chance to become more independent, try new things, develop confidence, build friendships and discover what they are capable of away from home.

03

Develop Skills

Structured training and experienced coaches help campers improve fundamentals, solve problems, build hockey IQ and become more confident players.

04

Build Friendships

Roommates, teammates, coaches and camp staff become part of a community that often creates friendships lasting far beyond the camp week.

The Best Parts of Summer Camp.

Hockey is a major part of every day, but some of the most memorable moments happen between sessions — at the beach, around camp, during recreation or simply spending time with teammates.

The Heartland Experience

Work Hard.
Have Fun.
Come Back Better.

Heartland's daily routine intentionally balances demanding hockey training with recreation, social time and opportunities for campers to simply enjoy being kids.

That balance helps players stay engaged, challenged and excited throughout the week while developing habits and relationships that extend beyond hockey.

Our Responsibility

Your Child's Experience Comes First.

Families trust Heartland with something incredibly important: the physical, emotional and social well-being of their children. That responsibility guides how we hire, train and support our staff.

Coaches and counselors are encouraged to know campers personally, create a supportive environment and help each player feel comfortable, confident and included throughout the week.

A Message From Heartland

We Know What Families Are Entrusting to Us.

A week at Heartland is an investment in a young player's hockey, confidence, independence and summer experience.

For more than four decades, Heartland has worked to create an environment where campers are challenged physically, supported personally and encouraged to enjoy every part of the week.

Our goal is simple: provide every camper with a memorable, rewarding and positive experience while helping them become better players, teammates and people.

We continue to improve our facilities, training programs and camper experience while protecting the traditions and personal attention that have always made Heartland special.
