Q1. When is Check in?

Campers should arrive on Sunday anytime between 12:00pm and 3:00pm. You'll be greeted in the parking lot by a Heartland Hockey Camp staff member.

Q2. When is Check Out?

Check out is Friday afternoon from 4-7 p.m. Check out in the front office and return your key, receive any remaining balance from the camper's camp card. There will be the final exhibition game on Friday afternoon. You can find your group schedule with your game time here. Parents are allowed to come watch the final exhibition game.

Q3. How can I set up private lessons?

Private Lessons are hour-long, one-on-one sessions with one of our expert coaches. You can sign up for lessons by logging into your account here and selecting your week below followed by a date and time that works best for you. Please note that you must be a camper during the week of the session you select. We will assign a coach to you and it will be communicated/posted when you arrive for check-in. You can also set up private lessons at check-in on Sunday or anytime throughout the week at the front desk. Private lessons will be held on our mini rink. Fill out this form to notify us what skills you'd like to focus on.

Private Lesson Time Slots Available:

Sunday: 7:30pm-8:30pm. 8:30pm-9:30pm. Monday: 7:00-8:00pm*. 8:00-9:00pm. 9:00-10:00pm. Tuesday: 7:00-8:00pm*. 8:00-9:00pm. 9:00-10:00pm. Wednesday: 7:00-8:00pm. 8:00-9:00pm. 9:00-10:00pm. Thursday: 7:00-8:00pm. 8:00-9:00pm. 9:00-10:00pm.

*Not available for Group C. They will be on the ice with their group on the main rink during the 7:00pm time slot.

Q4. How can I arrange for upgraded lodging?

Q5. What should I bring?

Q6. Is there WIFI or Cell reception?

There is wifi available for adults in upgraded lodging. For those adults staying in the regular dorms, wifi can be purchased for $10. Campers will NOT be allowed to keep their cell phones throughout the week. We will collect cell phones during orientation and keep them secure in our safe. Campers who need to call home can go to the front desk and receive assistance. Cell reception works well when you are standing outside however, when you are in the ice rink or main building, cell service is limited depending on carrier.

Q7. Are snacks available during the day?

Snacks are available for purchase at our snack bar located in the mezzanine of the ice rink. You can get a bank card at check in that you can load money onto for campers to use during the week. The remaining balance will be returned at check out from the front office. Please note that three meals will be provided to campers each day. Visitors not apart of the meal plan who would like to join for a meal may purchase a meal card in the front office. For more information on family vacation packages, please click here.

Q8. Can Parents skate?

Yes, we offer Parent/Child camps. Parents will be able to join their childs group for all camp activites including on ice training. When you enroll your child for camp, you will have additional options for parents.

Q9. Do we need linens?

If you are in a dorm room, yes. Please bring a pillow and sheets. If you have set up upgraded apartment lodging with Sandy, you do not need to bring linens. You will need to bring your own linens if you are in a Deluxe Dorm.

Q10. Which camp is right for me?

We have four levels of training sessions available to you. Skills Camps are for players of all levels - beginner, intermediate and advanced level players. Select Camps are for average to above average skill level players. Super Select Camps are for above average to advanced skill level players. AAA Camps are for advanced skill level players.

Q11. Do you have a medical staff?

Yes, we have a fantastic, full time, medical staff. All illnesses and injuries will be attended by our medical staff. In those situations that require additional medical assistance, the campers will be taken to the Cuyuna Medical Center, conveniently located just 6 miles north of Heartland Hockey Camp.

Q12. Can my camper stay a day early (Saturday night) or stay a day late (Friday night)?

If it is more cost efficient and convenient for you, we will allow campers to come in a day early or stay over an extra day for a cost of $100.00. This fee will include lodging either Friday or Saturday night and meals will be provided. Extensive ice and recreational opportunities will be available. **This is for campers staying in regular dorms. Those wanting to stay an extra night in an upgraded lodging unit would pay the per night cost for the specific upgraded unit.

Q13. Travel? Can my child be picked up from the airport?

Heartland Hockey Camp offers Airport shuttle service for the Brainerd Regional Airport only. Please fill out the form providing your travel info as soon as possible; Transportation Form

Please note all unaccompanied minors must fly into the Brainerd Regional Airport to be picked up by Heartland staff members.

Q14. What if I have to cancel?

We understand that things come up that prevent you from attending. No refunds will be given after April 1, or due to late arrival or early departure, or in the event that we are forced to cancel your camp or re-schedule your camp. Your deposit will be credited and applied to a future camp fee or upgraded lodging fee. For those campers who find it necessary to cancel before April 1, a full refund will be provided if the cancellation is made within 10 days of the original purchase date. After the 10 days, a 75% refund will be given. There will be no refunds for credits unused, also, no refund if a student is expelled, or does not attend or leaves on their own accord. There is no date deadline for camp registration. We will accept applications until the camps are full. Final balance due date, for applicants registering early, is April 1. Campers may apply to any open camps anytime after April 1 until each particular camp is full. There will be a late fee charge of $50.00 accessed to all second payments not received by April 1. There will be an additional late fee charge of $50 accessed to all payments not received by April 15. Your registration will be replaced by another camper after April 30. *There is a $100 fee to change camps. Please be thoughtful when selecting your camp option and date.

*Applications will be accepted after April 1, for any camp, if space is available at the time. After April 1, the application must be accompanied by payments in full, however, there will be no late charge assessed.
