New for the spring/fall of 2008, Steve Jensen's Adult Hockey Camp in Fort Myers, Florida.


LOCATION:

At Germain Arena in Fort Myers, Florida, the arena is located only 12 miles south of the Fort Myers Airport, just off Interstate 75.

DATES & TIMES:

Two Week-ends To Choose from May 2-4, 2008 and Sept. 26-28, 2008.

On ice sessions are as follows:

May 2, 2008: 8:30-10:30 p.m.
May 3, 2008: 1:15-3:15 p.m. & 6:45-8:45 p.m.
May 4, 2008: 9:00-11:00 a.m.

Sept. 26, 2008: 8:30-10:30 p.m.
Sept. 27, 2008: 1:15-3:15 p.m. & 6:45-8:45 p.m.
Sept. 28, 2008: 9:00-11:00 a.m.

CLINIC INFORMATION:

The cost, which is $375.00, includes 8 hours of instructional ice time, directed by former U.S. Olympian and NHL player, Steve Jensen, three classroom/video review sessions, two off-ice power shooting sessions. These clinics are designed primarily to help beginner/intermediate level players. All on-ice training sessions will feature unique edgework drills which will help you tremendously to improve your skating skills, both forward and backward. The on ice training sessions will also include the use of Steve Jensen's Stick-Handling Block System.


This training system is patent-pending and has proven to be a wonderful tool to help improve puck-handling skills. The clinic will be limited to 32 skaters and two goalies.

BONUS FEATURE:

All players that register for both clinics held at Germain Arena will receive a free private lesson with Steve Jensen, valued at $100.00. The private lesson may be used either on-ice or off-ice.

Visualize endless hours of ice time in our private ice arena, nestled in the northern woods of Minnesota. If you want the ultimate adult hockey camp experience here it is:

One week, Aug. 17-23, 2008.
We invite you to enjoy the luxury of unlimited usage of our privately owned arena. The entire facility will be reserved exclusively for you and your fellow campers.

We offer 3 adult hockey skill groups to choose from, Beginner, Intermediate, and advanced level players

Steve Jensen and his coaching staff will introduce you to innovative combination of on ice training and classroom instruction. On the ice you will be taught a graduated series of individual skills that will help you improve your skating speed , your skating agility and skating power. You will also learn to improve puck control, decking, shooting, passing and checking.


Our unique approach of station training, at a ratio of 6 campers to 1 coach has proven to be the most effective instructional method. During our evening sessions, you will participate in controlled scrimmages, where our experienced professional coaches will continuously provide commentary and advice to each player on an individual basis. We utilize a state of the art sound system, so all players can clearly understand all comments and instructions wherever there location on the rink.

In addition, Steve and his staff will work with all campers in a classroom setting to review and discuss individual and team concepts. We will diagram important offensive and defensive stratigies in the classroom setting, that will help you become a better player. We will also video tape all evening scrimmages. We will review all scrimmages on our wide screen T.V., critiqueing positional play and personal reaction.

All campers will also learn and practice there shooting skills, on a daily basis at our dry land training center. You will receive personalized instruction that will help you improve your wrist shot, snap shot, backhand and slap shot. We will utilize our camera digital video and sports radar guns, to help you increase your shooting speed, accuracy and quickness.

We also offer to all of our adult campers a wide variety of recreational activities and optional training activities off of the ice. You will be encouraged to utilize our synthetic ice surface, roller rink, power shooting range and weight room.

Our recreational options also include, tennis, golf, swimming, water skiing, boating, fishing and kyaking.





Emphasis will be placed on improving individual hockey skills including, skating, passing, shooting, stick-handling etc.. we will also focus on team play, as all campers will be taught effective offensive attacks, successful defensive strategies and learn from critiqued, video-taped, team scrimmages. The dates for our 2008 adult camp are August 17-23, 2008. Camper check in is on Sunday between 1:00 and 3:00 pm. Orientation will be at 3:30 pm. Evaluation skate will take place at 4:30 pm.
